Zicari (TARANTO)

The estate is located in the Manduria DOC zone in the province of Taranto. Vine varieties have been selected according to the nuances of the soil characteristics of each little area, the culmination of a painstaking process begun by Cistercian monks in the 12th century. Most Zicari wines are named after the piece of land on which the grapes grow - and some have poems dedicated to them. The pure Primitivo di Manduria DOC wines have deep plain labels encircling the bottle while those on the wines made from Primitivo blends and Negroamaro are colourful and scripted.
