Virtually Organic

Wines which have been obtained from organically cultivated grapes, without the use of synthetic chemicals, frequently surpassing the requirements for official certification, but which have not been presented for certification. This is because some producers take the view that the vine cultivation methods which they use today are no different from those of their grandfathers - long before the 'organic' label was invented - and see no reason to incur additional costs and bureaucracy to rubber stamp their traditional practices
