In the Val d'Arda of the Colli Piacentini, Castell'Arquato is the nucleus of the medieval burgh. This is where talented brother & sister team Alberto & Laura Cardinali make excellent wines under the Colli Piacentini designation; Gutturnio red and Monterossa Val D'Arda white.
Gutturnio sounds much better when pronounced the Italian way - 'goo-toor-nio'
