Wine trade reports that the fastest growing sector of the British retail wine market is at the better end of the market, up 30% on a year ago. For many, cheap supermarket and convenience store wines have lost whatever appeal they originally had; now it's quality and diversity which matter. This is great news for your, our and our producers' health.  Now is an ideal time to begin to discover real regional Italian wines from specialist producers. You'll be amazed at the difference which a £ or two per bottle can make.
