Sparkling white wine, prestigous and special, made at Erbusco near Brescia from carefully selected grapes initially fermented in stainless steel. Secondary fermentation is by traditional bottle method before maturation for 18 months until remuage.
Officially referred to simply as 'Franciacorta' without reference to metodo tradizionale spumante in recognition of these as the finest sparkling wines in Italy, more highly rated than most heavily marketed French Champagnes.

Elegant aroma of crunchy apples, pear, quince and a touch of vanilla. Lovely initial creaminess, straight, balanced, firm and dry.
